Zooming in on My Time Using Premier Pro

Reflecting on my time in my Multimedia Production class, I appreciate every assignment I had. However, if I had to choose my favorite, it would be making a video tutorial on Adobe Premier Pro. I believe this preference is because I used to do a lot of video editing in high school.

I’m not sure who is reading this, but in case you didn’t know, the beauty community in 2016 was a fast-developing form of entertainment. I was far from immune to this trend. I started my own YouTube channel where I posted makeup tutorials. While I cringe at the videos I was making, (they are now deleted so you can’t find them, ha!) it allowed me to appreciate how much hard work goes into making a well-done video. I viewed this assignment as a redemption ark for me. I decided to make a makeup tutorial, however, this time I would have a more developed brain and better software.

Using Premier Pro was more difficult than I imagined, however, it came more naturally to me than the other software I had been using in this class. I loved learning how to apply different audio and video edits. It blew my mind how smart the technology is! I still have so much I want to learn about the program. That is why I decided that it is going to be the first program I am going to try to get certified in through ETSU. I can’t wait to get started! Who knows, maybe people will see some non-cringey (who am I kidding, it will be cringey) makeup tutorials again from me soon.
