My Work

Here are some of the projects I have worked on since I have started my internship at Appalachian Sustainable Devolpment (ASD).

Creating Graphics

I spend much of my time designing graphics for ASD. Most of these I created from scratch, however, there are some like the "Tomato Tomorrow" flyer where I updated the graphic from last year. The graphics are usually for our monthly newsletter, an infographic about an event we can post to advertise and use as a cover for our Facebook event and our Humanitix listings, or flyers for selling some of our products.

I create the graphics in different sizes so they can be used across multiple platforms. My favorite graphics to create are for our monthly events that go in our newsletter because I can express a lot of creativity in those designs. I adhere to the ASD style guide so all the graphics are in line with our brand identity, while also trying to make each graphic stand alone on its own.

Social Media Statistics

Here are some of the statistics on our social media from June (I started to post more regularly then) to December.

Newsletters

Since I began my internship at ASD in May 2024, I helped put together our monthly newsletter. Starting in May, my supervisor and I have changed the amount of content in the newsletter to make it more digestible for our readers. So far the results have been very promising! Reels

I have created many reels for our social media and have had a great time thinking of new ways to interact with our audience. My supervisor helped me create a series called "The Adventures of Nadia the Intern" where I take viewers to different events and show the behind-the-scenes of ASD. It has been a great learning experience and I am excited to expand the series as I continue with my internship. You can view more of them by clicking the button below:
